“Chairman, you gave Kai permission to enter a B-Rank dungeon?”
“Yes.”
“I think it’s still too dangerous…”
“I agree.”
Chairman Kagetora and Issei Tanaka were having a phone conversation. The Chairman had informed Tanaka that he had granted Kai permission to enter a B-Rank dungeon and had given him a single Cube quest.
“Why would you do that?!”
“Well, I felt sorry for the boy.”
Chairman Kagetora was playfully poking at his phone, but Tanaka was seriously shouting at the Chairman.
“It’s not a matter of feeling sorry! His life is at stake… He’s still a child, isn’t he? We adults should guide him properly…”
“That’s not the case, Tanaka-kun.”
“Not the case? What do you mean…?”
“He’s not just a child. He may be the same age as my grandson, but he’s leagues beyond us. I’ll admit that he was a child until recently. But now things are different. Tanaka, what do you think is necessary to become an adult?”
“…Experience. The more challenging, the better.”
“Then you already know. He’s stared into the abyss of death multiple times. He’s even had experiences that could shatter one’s soul as if tested by God himself. It’s not just a half-hearted mental strength.”
Tanaka had been informed of the content of the Golden Cube by Chairman Kagetora.
“…Yes, you’re right. He’s not a child anymore. If he has chosen this path… we should support him… Is this how parents feel? I always thought I had to keep looking after him.”
“Believe in him, Tanaka-kun. Young power always holds the potential to change the world. Moreover, he fulfills the absolute condition of the strong. I’m sure things will work out.”
“The absolute condition of the strong?”
“Yes, the absolute condition of the strong. That kid is… luckier than anyone else. He’s loved by the gods. He’s returned from the brink of death multiple times. That’s the most necessary and difficult thing for a strong person to have. My intuition tells me, he won’t lose.”
“…Haha, I can’t compete with you, Chairman. Okay, let’s just pray for his safety now. I guess it’s time for me to let go, too.”
“Ha-ha! I also have to let go of my grandson.”
โKai’s Perspective
“Nraaahh!!”
I cut down a demon three times my size.
This is a B-Rank dungeon, inside a Cube that shines like an emerald.
The dungeon is dark like a cave, but blue magic stones serve as a light source, illuminating the dungeon.
These magic stones are of lower quality than those found inside monsters.
But they’re said to have been created by the accumulation of monster corpses and magical residues, right?
Maybe I should ask Aya, she mentioned she was publishing a paper on this.
“Phew… as expected, it’s strong. Not something I can defeat casually.”
I stared at the green monster that looked like a demon.

โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
It seems that many B-Rank monsters possess skills.
Upon investigating the Body Strengthening skill, I found out that it’s a skill that converts intelligence into attack power.
This demon is all muscle, even in the head.
Still, it’s a B-Rank.
It’s a dungeon where monsters with nearly 10,000 magic power appear, I can’t let my guard down.
“Phew… Maybe I should take a little break.”
While activating Mirage, I decided to eat the meal I brought. It’s already past noon.
“There are four conditions for this Cube, right? I didn’t know what the fourth one was…”
I looked at the status of the Cube I had noted on my smartphone.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

ใปCondition 4: Unlocked after achieving Conditions 1-3 (Current access level is unable to display this)
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
“This fourth condition is really suspicious…”
That fourth condition seemed to trigger something after achieving 1-3.
However, I didn’t know what would happen.
So now, I’m going around the dungeon, defeating as many ogre types as I can.
From Green Ogres to ogres that cast magic, this dungeon is filled with these guys.
Fortunately, they don’t move in groups. If they did, I’d have a tough time dealing with them.
“But still… this thing Aya made is amazing.”
I gripped the artifact created from the gently glowing green magic stone.
It was exactly the same shape as the previous High Wolf’s sword, so it felt the same to use.
Yet its abilities were outstanding.
Up until now, I had fully cleared two C-Rank Cubes every day for a week, a total of 15.
My abilities, combined with Aya’s power…

“Hmm, strong,”
I praised myself as I looked at my status. I can even win against Tanaka-san now, I thought, but I’m far from being S-Ranked. There are higher ranks above me, so I mustn’t get ahead of myself.
Still, when I look at these numbers and remember my past self, I can’t help but smile.
“Oh? Here comes another… 30 more to go. It’s been about two hours since I entered. I should be able to meet the 24-hour condition.”
I, who was resting, noticed the sound of the ground shaking.
I stuffed the rest of my rice ball into my mouth, washed it down with water, and gripped my sword.
“Mirage…”
My figure disappears and I slowly start walking.
Even when I get right in front of the ogre, it doesn’t notice me.
Starting at its feet, I look up at its giant fangs and face.
“What a scary face… If this were a month ago, I’d be wetting myself and crying. People change, don’t they…”
I forcefully kick off the ground.
I fly towards the throat of the ogre, which is probably about 5 meters tall.
As I appear before it, it seems to notice something is there through sound and smell, senses other than sight.
“Gaaa!?”
The ogre, likely feeling surprised by my sudden appearance, raises its giant club. But it’s already too late.
In an instant.
Blood sprays from its neck and the ogre falls backwards. I land on its body as it falls. With a thud, the ogre draws its last breath.
I keep clearing, easily handling these monsters that could wipe out an entire town if a dungeon collapse were to occur and they got out. A few hours later, I’ve killed 30 ogres.
ใCondition 2 has been achieved. ใ
“Phew… That took a while. They’re so big, there aren’t that many of them…”
I headed towards the boss room that I found in advance. I take a breath and open the door. I enter the room, which is about the size of a baseball field.
“The boss of a B-Rank dungeon… I thought it would be an ogre type since that’s all this dungeon has…”
What’s in front of me is an advanced form of an ogre, an Ogre General. Unlike normal ogres, they have high intelligence and carry weapons. Theyโre the leader of the ogres.
Its status is fitting for the boss of a B-Rank dungeon.

“It’s significantly stronger than a normal ogre… As expected of a B-Rank boss. But…”
The Ogre General stands up as it sees me. But it can’t find me.
Mirage.
This skill, which boasts unrivaled strength against lower-ranked enemies, allows me to stand behind the Ogre General.
The 4,000-point difference in intelligence won’t allow the demon general to recognize me.
My sword touches his neck before he realizes it, and by then it’s too late.
I silently slice his thick, firm neck from behind.
The armor and sword can’t resist.
Blood sprays and the Ogre General dies without even screaming.
Its giant body collapses onto the ground, and the only sound is the clanging that echoes in the silent dungeon.
“Phew… Good. It seems like I still have some leeway with B-Rank dungeons. It looks like I can quickly clear others too. Now…”
I, who had loosened up for a moment, grip my sword again and switch my mindset.
After achieving conditions 1 through 3, condition 4 is something that threatens my life.
“I wonder whatโll come next…”
I don’t let my guard down.
Even so, I might have been too optimistic.
To the power of the numbers reflected in these eyes, this is merely a B-Rank dungeon after all.
I was still underestimating the B-Rank dungeon that I could clear easily.
I was still underestimating the dungeon that has claimed the lives of countless clearers.
And I will learn.
The true meaning of why the term “Complete Clear” is hasnโt appeared.
ใConditions 1, 2, and 3 have been confirmed. Releasing condition 4. ใ
Along with that inorganic voice, the ceiling of the boss room is painted black.
It’s a deep black, like space, seemingly stretching out endlessly.
Something falls from there.
As if warped, something is transferred.
ใCondition 4: Defeat the Extra Boss. ใ
Thud!!
Raising a cloud of dust, it falls.
Spreading waves of clear murderous intent, with rage for all the life reflected in its eyes.
The king of ogres stands in my way.
