I proceed north from the point where I fought with the wolf.
Then, beyond the plains, a stone wall comes into view.
This is my first destination, the town named『Loine』, standing in the middle of the Stang Prairie.
This town is known among players as the 『Starting Village』.
As far as the story goes, the protagonist, who came from a rural village, was supposed to use this town as a foothold to expand his activities.
The wall surrounding the town serves to prevent monsters from intruding, and there are four gates in the east, west, south, and north that must be used to enter and exit.
It’s nostalgic.
As my level increased and my ability values improved, I rarely visited the early towns and fields unless I was progressing a quest.
Therefore, like Stang Prairie, the town of Loine is an area I’m visiting after a long time.
Although my memory of this town is vague, I know what I need to do here.
The first things to do in the early game are improving ability values and acquiring skills.
This town of Loine is the perfect place for leveling up for these tasks.
Until about level 10, it was a common strategy to practice character operation against weak monsters in Stang Prairie to the south, and then earn experience points consistently in the『Wortz Great Forest』to the east.
For the time being, I will be active based in this town of Loine.
In “Regicide of Saga”, you cannot rely on the superiority or inferiority of ability values in the status.
Certainly, having a high level of status gives you an advantage in battle, but you can turn the tables on any advantage depending on the situation.
In extreme cases, even if there is a level difference of 100 or 1,000 with your opponent, you can defeat them depending on your abilities and skill composition.
Using items, surprise attacks, and special equipment, you can defeat your opponent in one blow.
However, that is just a big what if.
It’s a case of multiple factors miraculously fitting together.
In reality, if the levels are separated by 1000, unless the opponent is a complete idiot, a fool, or a beginner, winning is impossible.
At best, it would be great to be able to compete equally with an opponent who is 200 or 300 levels above you.
However, this is not a game, but a real world based on a game.
Given the uncertain elements such as sensation and experience, it is better to increase your ability values as a precaution.
And there’s also the element of “pain”.
Pain slows your movements.
There’s no way you can recover by drinking a potion after receiving a blow that damages your armor.
And, most likely, “death” in this world is literally linked to death.
It’s unclear whether you can use resurrection magic, let alone continue.
My second life, which was given to me anew.
I don’t want to waste this opportunity.
All of my actions aren’t for play; they relate back to the entirety of my real daily life, are reflected in battles, and above all, are connected to surviving.
I sharpen my nerves by slapping both cheeks with my hands.
A tingling sensation spreads from the palms of my hands to my cheeks, and I feel as if my head is clearer.
I stepped into the town of Loine.
